Version history

Every change, traceable.

Transparency is one of the core principles behind both The Social Contract and The Democracy Engine. That principle applies to the documents themselves just as much as to the systems they describe. This page lists every published version of the main report and the deep dive, what changed and why. Older versions are never removed, they remain downloadable so that anyone who has cited or reviewed a previous version can always go back to it.

Clarifies that the right to the guarantee is universal from day one, as a new entry among the frequently asked questions.

  • New question under "Frequently asked questions": "Does the guarantee really cover everyone, from day one?", separating the right (universal, unconditional) from fulfilment (capacity-driven, grows in steps).
  • Clarifies that anyone who already receives a means-tested benefit does not lose it during the transition.
  • No changes to the cost book, the build programme, or the figures in Part 2.

Changes that only affect the website's own text, not the documents themselves, are not listed here. This page tracks specifically the version numbers of the report and the deep dive.
